Six sectors that cannot afford an enclosure failure.
The specification changes with the environment: salt spray, washdown chemicals, vibration, ambient heat, or a switchboard that must stay sealed for twenty years. Each sector below lists the series we normally specify and why.
Industrial Automation
PLCs, HMIs, drives and control panels on high-throughput production lines. The enclosure has to survive coolant mist and machine vibration while keeping a technician-friendly door swing in a tight aisle.
Power Distribution
LV boards, substation auxiliaries and metering cabinets. Volume, busbar clearance and a mounting plate that takes real load are what decide the reference — not the footprint.
Oil & Gas
Corrosive and explosive-risk environments. Coating adhesion and gasket integrity matter more than steel gauge: a C5-M scheme over a dip-coat primer is the baseline we quote.
Telecommunications
Network equipment and data infrastructure in unconditioned cabinets. Thermal management and a second inner door for public-space installations are the usual additions.
Construction & Infrastructure
Site distribution, commercial building risers and civil installations. Specified in quantity, delivered to programme — availability of standard references is usually the deciding factor.
Marine & Offshore
Salt spray, constant humidity and structural vibration. Enquiries here are normally quoted as a custom build on a standard shell — stainless variants and Lloyd's certification on request.
