Ingress, impact and coating performance are verified against the published standards below. Test reports and declarations of conformity are issued with the order and available in advance on request.

Dust tight, jet proof
No ingress of dust; protected against powerful water jets from any direction. Verified on the assembled enclosure with the gasket in service condition.

Corrosion resistant
Indoor and outdoor use — windblown dust, rain, splashing water, hose-directed water and external ice formation.

20 joule impact
The highest impact class in the standard. Tested on the door face, the most exposed surface in service.

The ROV-UL series is listed for the North American market, including the coating adhesion regime UL requires.

The test regime

Dimensional and weld inspection
Every batch is checked against the drawing before coating; weld seams are inspected for continuity along the sealing face.

Coating thickness and adhesion
Electrostatic powder film measured on five points per enclosure; cross-hatch adhesion test per batch.

Ingress test
Water jet test to the IP66 procedure with the door closed on its service gasket, then inspected internally for ingress.

Impact test
Pendulum impact at 20 J on the door face to establish the IK10 class.
5
Function check before dispatch
Lock operation, door alignment, earthing continuity and mounting plate fit are confirmed on the finished unit.
